So with eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao now a Senator in the Philippines, what does that mean for his future in the ring?

"He shouldn't have a future in the ring, that's it," said the chairman of Top Rank, Bob Arum, who has promoted him to superstardom the past decade

"For the next six years he should be a senator. I mean, that's how I see it. He has an obligation to the Philippine people to be their senator, one of their 24 senators and that's a very serious obligation. I don't think he should fool around fighting."

On April 9th, 'the Pac Man' dominated his trilogy with Tim Bradley in what he stated would be his farewell fight. So does this seal his retirement?

"It's up to him whether it stamps his retirement. I think the right thing for him to do is retire,"opined Arum.

In recent days there have been rumors of a rematch between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, who decisioned him last May in what was a huge letdown of a fight that did incredible business from a financial standpoint.

"I don't know where those rumors started,"claimed Arum.

"I mean, the problem is Mayweather probably wants to come back and win a 50th fight...well, who is he going to fight where the public is going to buy it to put enough money in Mayweather's pocket? So he looks at Manny Pacquiao and says,'Well, that's a fight that I can make some money on.'

"Well OK, that's fine. Come over to Manila, fight Manny in Manila and maybe he'll get some time off from his senatorial duties."
