MONTREAL - Eye of the Tiger Management (EOTTM) presented its first boxing card at the Videotron Centre in nearly 3 years. This highly anticipated event featured a total of six fights including two championship bouts. 

After a very good training camp with his team led by renowned coach Marc Ramsay, heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov was ready to take on the toughest opponent of his career, Erkan Teper.

The man known as "The Lion" stepped into the ring with his usual determined and intimidating look. But Teper, who defeated David Price and Johann Duhaupas in addition to being a former member of the German national team, has seen it all.

The latter did not seem intimidated by the Montreal slugger born in Russia.  From the very first bell, the two pugilists studied each other well, but they still exchanged good and precise shots on both sides. It was near the end of the first round that Makhmudov found flaws in Teper's defense. Makhmudov's left hooks hit the target repeatedly and sent Teper to the floor for the first time. The German had barely regained his senses when Makhmudov chased him down again before sending him to the canvas once again. A few seconds later, the bell rang and the two boxers retreated to their respective corners. Teper and his clan made the wise decision to end the fight.

Makhmudov remains undefeated with an impressive record of 13 wins, all of them coming before the limit.

The "Lion" returns home with the NABA and NABF heavyweight belts, which will undoubtedly put him in the top 10 in the world and closer to a world championship fight.

In the second main event of the night, Christian Mbilli wanted to be the first to knock out the tough Ronny Landaeta. By executing the game plan set up by his team, the powerful puncher managed to do what world champion Robin Krasniqi and undefeated French fighter Kevin Lele Sadjo were unable to do - winning by knockout in the third round.

As a result, Mbilli recorded a stunning victory allowing him to get his hands on the WBC Continental of the Americas title.

In addition, Luis Santana also put in a remarkable performance against a solid opponent named Dave Leblond. This 100% Quebec duel was expected to be a very well balanced fight, but Santana showed excellent technical skills that allowed him to do a surgical job from the very beginning of the fight.

Following several precise blows to the head of his opponent, Santana capitalized with an excellent left hook to the liver of the Thetford Mines boxer to close the show in the second round.
