Alejandro Luis Silva has signed a long-term promotional agreement with Camponovo Sports.
The undefeated super welterweight, 22-0-1 (17 KOs), from Posadas, Misiones, Argentina, returns to the ring on August 10, headlining the next CBN Promotions card at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California and Silva said he is looking forward to working with promoter Alex Camponovo.
“Signing with Camponovo Sports is something that I’ve been looking forward to since I fought for Alex back in November of 2023,” said Silva, who now trains in Paramount, California. “Alex has many years of experience in the sport and I know he can move me in position to fight for a world title, which is my ultimate goal. This partnership is a major step forward in my career, and I am eager to showcase my abilities to the world.”
Camponovo believes he might have the next Argentine breakout star on his hands, and someone who could follow in the illustrious footsteps of Carlos Monzon, Sergio Martinez and Marcos Maidana.
“Argentina has produced some of the best boxers in the world,” said Camponovo. “His talent is special, and I have plans to make him a rising star in the super welterweight division. We believe he has the potential to achieve great things, and we are committed to supporting him every step of the way."
Silva's return to the ring on August 10 will be his first fight of 2024. CBN Promotions has network deals in place with FOX Deportes, Fubo Sports, Stadium TV, Gray Television and Estrella TV.
“I can't wait to be back in the ring on August 10,” Silva concluded. “Headlining a card at Thunder Studios and fighting live on network television is a dream come true. I'll be ready to put on a spectacular performance for all the fans.”
