The world junior flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Thailand's Kompayak Porpramook (46-3, 31 KOs), will defend his title against Mexico's Adrian "Confessor" Hernandez (24-2-1, 15 KOs) in Toluca, Mexico.
Last December, Hernandez traveled over to Bangkok and lost his title when Porpramook stopped him in the tenth round. Hernandez promised to get revenge on Mexican soil. He blames the very hot weather in Thailand for getting dehydrated and eventually stopped.
"We have worked hard in the gym and everything will be reflected on the day of the fight. He took the title on his land, but now before my people things will be very different," said Hernandez.
"Speed is very important to impose the strategy in the early rounds. For several weeks we have worked a lot on speed during our sparring sessions. He won the title in his country and now he's coming here to defend it but he's going to go back home without the championship."
