Former two division champion Tomasz Adamek had no excuses over his dominating TKO loss to WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. On Saturday night in Poland, Klitschko battered Adamek for ten rounds before the referee stepped in to stop the fight. Adamek's trainer, Roger Bloodworth, has since revealed that he was about to throw in the towel to save his fighter from further punishment. Adamek admit that Vitali was too big and too strong for him.

"In preparing for this fight, I didn't make any mistakes - said Adamek - Physically, I was well prepared. Vitali was just a lot stronger than me. He just looked great. I really wanted to become a world champion, but it didn't work out. Although I experienced the full power of Klitschko's punches, I feel fine. I hope that my health will be all right.

Vitali has laid a lot of praise on Adamek, especially for his chin.

"I have to credit the resilience of Tomasz.  I thought I was going to knock him out in three rounds. But going into the tenth round, I was confident that it was going to be last for Tomasz. Adamek was tough but also too small. He really went for the victory until the very end. I wish him luck in the future. On Monday I will return to Kiev and within a few weeks I will determine my future opponent."
