Former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek (49-3, 29 KOs) admits that his career is likely over if he loses on Saturday night to up and coming countryman Artur Szpilka (16-1, 12 KOs). The heavyweight contest will headline a big night of boxing at the Krakow Arena in Poland.
Adamek is trying to recover from a tough decision loss from a few months ago to Czar Glazkov. But Szpilka is also trying to get his career back on track, after getting knocked out at the start of the year by undefeated heavyweight Bryant Jennings.
"Yes [it would be over if Szpilka wins]. I mean, what else is there to say? If I lose, I do not know what to look for anymore in boxing. I wouldn't want [to fight] and I do not need to fight, if it happens [where I lose to Szpilka]. I've always done well with money and I have enough to live on. But I'm not even sure why are we even talking about this, because I'm not going to lose," Adamek said.
